BAGGED CEMENT

We are supplying cements in 50 kg laminated Polypropylene bags and 1 MT JUMBO bags for international market from Pakistan. The bags are seaworthy with sufficient safeguard against moisture during sea voyage. Bags contain wording and marking of cement manufacturer's brand.

BULK CEMENT

Bulk Cement, an alternative to bagged cement, which is of particular advantage to large consumers of cement. Internationally, the trend is to move cement more and more in loose form rather than bagged. In fact, over 90 percent cement in the USA, and other European countries is transported and sold in bulk.

A bulk material transport apparatus, such as a truck or trailer, having at least one bulk material pressure vessel mounted thereon. The pressure vessel is provided with at least one sealable hatch opening, a first port and a second port all of which are offset from the apex of a torispherical top portion of the pressure vessel. The pressure vessel is provided with at least one discharge port located in a toriconical bottom portion thereof and is also provided with air inlet means for introducing pressurized air into the vessel. An operator platform being positioned at a pre-selected distance from the offset hatch opening and being within such proximity of the offset hatch opening so as to enable an operator positioned on the operator platform to gain access to the interior of the pressure vessel through the hatch opening is provided.

There is no infra structure and storage facility available at the Pakistani sea ports for handling large quantities of cement especially on break bulk basis. Cement industry has decided to set up its own export infra structure on self finance basis and has already invested about Rs. 400 million for the purchase of required state of the art equipments and machinery for the export of loose cement.

Cement industry has dedicated Ship Loader to load cement directly from the Bulkers to the vessels efficiently in order to improve the load rate. This will help us to expedite the ship loading thus giving maximum benefit to the customer. Pakistan has also installed Jumbo Packers at Karachi Plant to export cement in one ton packing.

A dedicated terminal is planned to be set up at Port Qasim, Karachi for export of clinker & cement. This terminal is to be established on the North Western side of the port at the estimated cost of US$ 20 million. Cement/Clinker export terminal will handle about 3 million tons per annum.

The facility will provide a dedicated terminal for export of Clinker / Cement on non-exclusive. A volume of 7 million tons per annum is estimated by the year 2010.

Prospective customers for bulk cement are RMX manufacturers, institutions, government agencies, contractors, builders, manufacturers of pre-cast fabricated concrete blocks, asbestos sheets and many more. Many of them have their own batching plants and are using bulk cement.
